What is the Chlamydia Trachomatis Antibody IgM test? The Chlamydia Trachomatis IgG Antibody testing (CAT) has been used as a screening test for tubal factor infertility (TFI), but the CAT is only a marker of past exposure to Chlamydia. The trachomatis does not have late sequelae, and the positive predictive value (PPV) of the test is low. The IgG antibody detection is a marker for a Chlamydia-positive immune response, either for current, chronic, or past infections.
